A first of its kind, the Sulis Sail Lid is a seamless fusion of innovation, sustainability, and craftsmanship, redefining hot tub covers with a touch of nautical heritage. Handmade in the Coromandel Peninsula, we have combined recycled yacht sails with premium-grade timber batons to create a durable, lightweight, and effortlessly functional hot tub lid.
At its core, the Sulis Sail Lid features 10mm closed-cell EVA foam, expertly sandwiched between two layers of recycled sail fabric, providing exceptional insulation and weather resistance. Hand-finished timber battens not only enhance its strength and aesthetic but allow it to roll easily. Simply fold it back and relax, free from the hassle of lifting heavy lids.
The sails used in our lids once braved the open ocean, enduring saltwater, relentless UV rays, and gale-force winds while propelling vessels across vast seas. Now, in their second life, they stand resilient against New Zealand’s rugged elements, keeping your hot tub free from debris and maintaining optimal heat retention.
With its striking wood-and-sail fusion, the Sulis Sail Lid is more than just a cover—it’s a statement of sustainability, craftsmanship, and effortless design. Built to protect, built to last—this is hot tub innovation, reimagined.
